What is RSVP reading?
Rapid Serial Visual Presentation (RSVP) flashes text one word at a time in a fixed spot on screen, with a "focus letter" highlighted in each word. This gives your eyes one fixed place to focus. Choose a comfortable speed and pause or go back when you need to; comprehension varies with the reader, material, and pace.
How does Woosh! actually work?
Press a hotkey, drag a box around any text on your screen, and Woosh! scans it, lets you review/fix the text, and opens a floating window that flashes it word by word at whatever speed you choose.
What does it cost?
Woosh! is $9.99/month, with a 3-day free trial to start. Cancel anytime from the subscription management link in your confirmation email.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Use the "Manage my subscription" link in the receipt email you got when you subscribed - it opens a secure customer portal (powered by Lemon Squeezy) where you can cancel or manage billing at any time.
Is my screen data private?
Yes. Text recognition happens entirely on your own computer using a bundled copy of the Tesseract OCR engine - nothing you capture is uploaded anywhere. The only thing that talks to a server is license validation with our payment provider, which just confirms your subscription is active.
Does Woosh! work on Mac or Linux?
Not yet - Woosh! is Windows-only for now.
What kind of text can I capture?
Anything visible on your screen: PDFs, e-books, articles, slides, even a photo of a printed page. If it's sharp enough to read with your eyes, Woosh! can usually scan it.
Can I change the hotkey or reading speed defaults?
Yes - settings live in a config file the app creates on first run, and reading speed can also be adjusted right from the review screen every time you capture something.
