Getting started
Woosh! is a single portable app - there's no installer. Download Woosh.exe, double-click it, and it'll appear in your system tray (the hidden icons area near your clock). Complete the trial checkout and enter the license key from your email to activate reading.
Capturing text
Press Ctrl + Shift + R anywhere in Windows, then drag a box around the text you want to read. Woosh! will scan it, show you an editable review screen, and then open the speed-reading window.
Common issues
Windows showed a security warning
Check that you downloaded the app from the Woosh website. If you are unsure about a warning, contact support with its exact message before continuing.
The hotkey doesn't do anything
Global hotkeys on Windows sometimes need administrator rights to register while another app has focus. Try right-clicking Woosh.exe and choosing "Run as administrator," or use "Capture region now" from the tray icon's right-click menu instead - as an alternative way to start a capture.
The screen dims but nothing happens after I select text
Make sure you're dragging a real box (click, hold, drag, release) rather than a single click - a click without a drag is treated as cancelling the capture.
Woosh! didn't read the text correctly
Try selecting a tighter region around just the text you want, and make sure the text is reasonably sharp/legible on screen (very small or blurry text is harder to scan accurately). You can always fix any misread words directly in the review screen before reading.
Billing and subscription
Payments and subscriptions are handled securely through Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider.
I want to cancel or update my payment method
Use the "Manage my subscription" link in the receipt/confirmation email Lemon Squeezy sent you when you subscribed - it opens a secure customer portal where you can cancel, update your card, or view invoices.
My trial ended and I lost access
Open Woosh! and press the hotkey (or use "Capture region now") to bring up the subscribe screen - you can start a subscription or paste a license key there.
